Do you want to get started or improve your dancing? Whether you’re taking your first dance steps or you’ve been dancing for years, there’s a class for you! B’ham Hop runs 2 month classes on Tuesday evenings. Everyone is welcome, and no partner is required. To register, click HERE to go to the registration page. See the class descriptions below:

May classes are held every Tuesday evening at BAAY: 1059 N State St.

May class session is $45 ($35 if you’re a student!)

7:00pm – 8:00pm Fundamentals of Swing with Bailey and Damian

Learn the fundamentals of leading, following, and musicality while learning the steps of Swing Dancing! This class will focus on building up movement vocabulary and learning the basics of 6 and 8 count dancing. All are welcome and no partner or previous experience is needed! (Class sizes are limited!)

8:00pm – 9:00pm Intermediate Lindy Hop with Bailey and Damian

Have you been swing dancing for a while and want to learn more? This is the class for you. This class will build on the fundamentals of Lindy Hop and focus on learning new moves, improving the basics, and finding a sense of personal style. No partner needed, but we suggest students take the Fundamentals class first, or come with prior knowledge of Lindy Hop basics. (Class sizes are limited!)

9:00pm-10:00pm Solo Jazz with Bailey!

We’re so excited to bring back Solo Jazz, taught by Bailey McCully!! Learn how to move and groove without a partner and find your own style of dancing. This class will focus on building a solo movement vocabulary, as well as musicality and improvisation. Solo jazz is wonderful way to improve your partner dancing skills, and opens the door to dancing without a partner. You don’t need any previous dancing experience to join.
