3:50-4:30: Snack break

4:30-6:30: Lindy Hop with Bailey and Nika! (At Inspire studio)

8:30-11pm: Evening dance with Hot House Jazz Band (YWCA Ballroom)

12-3am: Late night dancing, competitions, and shenanigans (Inspire Studio)

Bailey McCully, B’ham Hop’s founder, is unfortunately moving away. But before she’s gone forever, Bailey is hosting a whole day of workshops and dancing!  She’s teaching with the fabulous Nika Jin from Eugene, and Hot House Jazz Band will be serenading the dances with their wonderful tunes! The B’ham Tiny Jam is taking place June 2nd, 2018.

The goal is to bring together dancers from the Pacific Northwest in Bellingham, Washington to help inspire and encourage Bellinghamsters to keep dancing and growing!! Join the Jam!!!

 

Contrary to popular belief, it isn’t a lunch meat. It’s a city with fantastic parks, a beautiful coastline, and the nicest people. Bellingham is perfectly situated between the thriving swing dance scenes of Seattle and Vancouver. Instructors, dancers, and bands can meet in the middle in neutral territory (yes, it’s on American soil, but we promise impartiality) to exchange ideas, and celebrate dance.

B’ham Hop, the organization responsible for the Swing Jam, is an adventure, undertaken by dauntless swing adventurers, and led by our Grey Wizard, Bailey McCully. We, the Bellinghamsters, strive to promote positivity, community building, and simply getting weird while having as much fun dancing as we possibly can. A small scene with a big heart, we are excited to share our city and our love for this dance with all of you!

Live music by the Hot House Jazz Band, workshops in Lindy Hop and solo jazz, fun late night shenanigans. Word on the street has it that we’ll also be taking the whole group of Swing Jammers to our favorite spot along the coast to roast marshmallows over a fire… Come learn, dance, and have fun with Bailey and Nika and the Hot House Jazz Band.
